REALLY?! Lucie Jones went home over Jedward?

November 8, 2009

This is perhaps one the most appalling result show I have ever seen. Why on Earth was 1) She in the Bottom 2? 2) Why in the hell would Simon not choose Lucie? 3) Did the voting public choose to send Lucie home? insane.

I’m in utter shock and I can’t believe this has happened. Lucie Jones is an amazing performer and deserved to be in the top 2! for god’s sake. This is not making any kind of sense. Need I remind the voters of some Lucie’s amazing performances?

First off… the GENIUS audition!

The Judge’s house!

Rock Week’s amazing performance….

And perhaps my favorite of all, this one is BEAUTIFULLY DONE.

Tonight’s results are a joke. This is an utter travesty.

The X Factor | The Final 12

October 6, 2009

This past weekend the contestants went to the Judges’ houses to compete, yet again, for a spot among the final 12. I’m very happy that they are finally getting to the live shows even though I can’t watch them live. It’s already felt like a long journey to get this far. Does American Idol have the same amount of pre finals episodes? I don’t know, but I’m happy with the line up.

It’s sad Ethan didn’t make it through like I had hoped, Rikki is talented though. At least my two picks for the boys made it through! Especially my favorite of the series Lloyd Daniels! He is for sure my top pick to win The X Factor. Picking the final three for the over 25s seemed like a hard task because all are so talented! Ugh can we talk about how lame it is that John & Edward made it through? Okay I’m done. These are my favorites from each group and my tops picks for the competition:

Boys: LLOYD DANIELS for the win!

Girls: LUCIE JONES & RACHEL ADEDEJI Lucie can go far if she ups the tempo! and Rachel’s got the voice and style!

Overs: OLLY MURS He’s just so lovable and talented!

Groups: MISS F.R.A.N.K. Against the aforementioned talent it would be a long shot, but the freshest group has got that special something!

This weekend it’s on!

Cheryl Cole to front a US version of ‘The X Factor’.

July 5, 2009

Cheryl X Factor

Cheryl Cole celebrated an X-tra special birthday – as it was revealed she is set to front a US version of The X Factor.

The Girls Aloud singer turned 26 with a £60,000 surprise party thrown by Chelsea and England soccer star husband Ashley, 28.

And the icing on the cake came when she learned she had been specially chosen by Simon Cowell to take his top-rated TV show across the Atlantic.

Senior US executives from NBC are due to fly to Manchester this weekend to see her in action at the live auditions.

A source said: “Simon is on the brink of signing a deal to take The X Factor to America and, if he gets his way, Cheryl will be its star.

“He thinks she has amazing presence and her down-to-earth Northern charm will appeal to the American public. She is also an incredibly beautiful girl.

“She won’t get paid anything like the million pound salary she’s on here, because obviously she is not as well known in the States.

“But if it is a success, like most of Simon’s shows are, it could catapult her into the big league.”

It is understood Simon, 49, will not be able to appear on the show as he is tied into a deal with rival network Fox for American Idol.

The music mogul, who has an estimated fortune of £120million, has already announced he plans to quit after the next series of X Factor.

And he has made it clear he wants Cheryl to step into his shoes and become the main face of the show, which regularly pulls in around 15 million viewers.

ITV1 bosses are desperately trying to persuade him to stay, but while  he wants to continue with Britain’s Got Talent, he feels it is time to move on.

Simon was at Cheryl’s bash on Wednesday at London’s Vanilla nightclub. Other guests included Cheryl’s bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts and X Factor judges Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue.

Hubby Ashley had secretly invited Cheryl’s showbiz pals, plus friends and family from Newcastle – treating them to flights and putting them up in hotels.

He even arranged for Cheryl – looking stunning in a frilly white mini-dress – to be presented with a giant pink birthday cake in the shape of a star. A friend said: “Cheryl just thought they were going out for a quiet meal.

“But when they pulled up outside the nightclub, she knew he had planned something special and she welled up with emotion.”
