Brilliant mix, great video, and…

Possibly the year’s best dance track, so far.

Selena Gomez & the Scene – “Naturally (Dave Audé Remix)”

Hollywood infected your brain.

December 16, 2009

Marina & The Diamonds‘ newest music video just premiered a little while ago for her upcoming single ‘Hollywood’, released February 1st, 2010. In the video she (and everybody else for that matter) is clearly “obsessed with the mess that’s America”. The brilliant video was directed Kinga Burza and is quickly becoming one of my favorite videos/songs of the moment. Her debut album, The Family Jewels, will be released on February 15th, 2010.

I’m in love with this.

Meet my new obsession of 2009: Pixie Lott

August 2, 2009

Pixie LottThis summer I’ve discovered some wonderfully amazing new music and sometimes I come across artists that are soo good I just have to share. 18 year-old UK native Pixie Lott is one such artist and I already feel she is my new obsession of 2009. Earlier this summer Pixie released her debut single “Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)” which reached the number one spot on the UK charts, impressive. Naturally I was super impatient and needed to hear more (after falling completely head over heels for this girl), but I couldn’t wait till September 14th when her debut album Turn It Up, so I searched the web and found leaks and promos of her other songs. That only made things worse. The other material she had as b-sides and album tracks were outstanding! Tracks like the amazing “Here We Go Again” and “What U Do” are stuck on repeat. I’m über-excited for her upcoming album release! Luckily I hear Pixie will take her act Stateside, which hopefully would bring her here for a concert in Michigan (I can dream can’t I?). No waiting till that happens though, I’m springing for the UK release. In recent news Pixie has just released a video for her second single “Boys and Girls” which is an amazing choice for a single! The video it’s self is hands down one of my favorites this year. Check it out:

Alrighty, I hope you enjoyed her as much as I have, I think she is brilliant and I can’t get enough of her killer vocals and brilliant tunes!!! Need more? Then check out some of the covers she did: “Use Somebody“, “Apologize“, and “Poker Face“.

Take me on the floor.

The Saturdays new single: ‘Work’.

May 27, 2009

JUST RELEASED: The Saturdays new music video for ‘Work’.

‘Work’ is the fifth single from their debut album Chasing Lights.

I’m excited about this single because it is one of my favorite songs from the album. I’d have to say I enjoyed the song more than the video. I was hoping for more of a plot, but whatever. They looked great, it sounds great, and I’m ready for this to dominate my summer playlist.

Do you like it? Comment and let me know what you think.

Music video magic time.

April 6, 2009

In the past couple of weeks I’ve came across some wicked genius music videos. So I’m declaring music video magic time, thats right three quasi-fresh music videos right here right now for your eyegasmic pleasure. Take it in…

Well of course you need to be all about this shit. It’s Girls Aloud’s 21st single ‘Untouchable’ and this vid is one of their greatest yet. Future fun fanatastic…

Now it’s time for some funk me fantastic sexness with Ciara feat. J.T.’s ‘Love Sex Magic’. Single greatest moment is when Ciara is all on the floor crawling and all you see is lights line her bod. Oh Ciara.. you sex me good woman.

Rounding out the list is Kleerup feat. Titiyo with ‘Longing For Lullabies’. Sad, beautiful, sheer music freakin video greatness. I like lose my s**t with discoveries like this! It’s takes you to dinner and pays the bill good.

Sorry if this post seems a bit insane (yeah insanely loaded with amazing music videos!!) but I’m running on last bit of energy I gots after a such an outstanding feat of great procrastination on a ten page film term paper. Sleep didn’t even see me coming.

Lily Allen’s new single ‘The Fear’ and it’s b-side ‘Fag Hag’

February 7, 2009

Lily Allen‘s lead single ‘The Fear‘ is from her new album It’s Not Me, It’s You which is released February 10th in North America. Both the song’s are a brilliant new sound for Lily’s sophomore album which is a great collection of softish(?) electropop tracks mixed with her trademark lyricism. The music video for ‘The Fear’ is like a colorful party with all sorts of fun happening everywhere as she is just walking by. The b-side, ‘Fag Hag’, is a great track about having the essential gay best friend.
