The albums ahead | The late additions.

August 22, 2009

Well it looks like I missed a couple of upcoming albums that I’m really excited to hear! Below are the ones that slipped my mind:

Leona LewisLeona Lewis

Of course I instantly fell in love with ‘Bleeding Love’, but I’ll admit it took me a bit to take a minute and listen to the rest of the album. I’m just not a fan of loads of ballads and slow vocal flexing tunes filling up most of an album. I did wind up loving  the tracks: ‘I Will Be’, ‘Forgive Me’, ‘You Bring Me Down’ (Bonus Track), ‘Whatever It Takes’, ‘Best You Never Had’ (Bonus Track), and ‘Run’, (sorry for the long list) and they are the tracks that have me excited to hear more from Leona. I wanna hear more dancefloor anthems this time around. She has been said to be working with a ton of different producers/songwriters, like Ryan Tedder, Justin Timberlake, and Jay-Z, but I’m mainly excited to hear that the genius production duo Xenomania has written five songs for her! Well looks like I’ll have to play the waiting game.  – Release: November 2009 (WW)

Don’t Stop,

After hearing Popjustice talk about how amazing this album is, it’s pushed release dates, and the amazing promo singles ‘Anthonio‘ and ‘Two of Hearts‘, I am more than ready for the the release of Annie’s second studio album Don’t Stop. Her electropop beats are infectious, unfortunately the aforementioned promo singles and the album’s original lead single ‘I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me‘ won’t be included on the album. Only a minor bummer because all are still available to download. The album’s new lead single is ‘Songs Remind Me Of You‘ and it’s a stellar dance track. Sadly US fans have to wait a month longer before it’s released, but I feel it will be worth it. Till then check out her previous work and some of the leaks posted on youtube, ‘My Love Is Better‘ is surely one to hear (the backing vocals are suppose to be Girls Aloud!).  – Release: October 19th (UK) November 17th (US)

The Spell,

The Danish pop act will be releasing their second album this fall and hopefully this one will get a US release! It’s said that they are going to tour later this year in the US, but they were suppose to before and that didn’t happen, unfortunately. The lead single ‘The Spell’ sounds really good, but all I have found is a clip which you can check out here. This time around they said their sound will be more dance than their poppier debut. I wasn’t sold on the greatness of the whole album last time around (mostly just the singles) but I really loved what I loved from the last album (am I making sense?) Anyways the release is fairly soonish! Yeah. – Release: October 19th (UK)

    Hi Kameron? How are You?

Your late additions are great, except maybe Leona ( I’m not a big fan of ballads that mostly sound like in the 90s).

I didn’t know Annie, but thanks to you, I already love her, especially Songs remind me of you. Thanks for the discovering. It’s still great to come to your blog because I can find some greats artists I don’t know.
